Fed-Ex Buyer Information
By using National Route Brokers, you will benefit from our vast experience in obtaining and insuring that all Routes we have listed have the most up to date information possible.
To become a FedEx Pickup and Delivery contractor, candidates must be 21 or older; pass a Department of Transportation physical and drug scan; and have a satisfactory driving record. Candidates also must meet certain other requirements established by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Although one year of commercial driving experience is preferred, FedEx Ground offers driver-training courses to interested candidates.
FedEx Ground encourages women and men of all backgrounds, races and abilities to partner with the company so as to reflect the rich mix of diversity in the communities we serve.
Because the Pickup and Delivery fleet is FedEx Ground's most vital frontline link to its shippers and recipients, contractors are responsible for upholding the carrier's pledge to meet customer expectations and respond to their pickup and delivery requirements. Your contracted responsibilities include:
Service reliability
Pick up and deliver all packages on time and assist our mutual customers with their shipping needs.
Image
Maintain a professional and courteous manner and wear the authorized FedEx Ground uniform and ID badge for easy recognition by customers.
Business commitment
Become knowledgeable of all FedEx services and operating procedures and maintain communication with the sales force to help identify and solve our mutual customers' challenges.
Vehicle maintenance
Keep vehicle clean, properly branded, and in a safe operating condition while adhering to Department of Transportation safety standards.
Pickup and Delivery contractors are responsible for business-related expenses including vehicle payments, fuel, taxes, insurance and vehicle maintenance. As entrepreneurs, contractors also may have the option to purchase additional delivery routes, add vans and trailers, and hire their own drivers and helpers to expand their business and increase their income potential.
